twinkle twinkle

This post is about the fairly new band Concrete Knives. The have a new EP coming out called "You Can't Blame The Youth", which is being recorder on the 9th of November, so we'll have to wait for that a little bit longer. "Greyhound racing" has an anthem sort-of feel, and has some lovely guitar chords in it. The singer reminds you of The Sounds, or a soft version of Karen O. The song is really well written and really produces all the right emotions. "Brand new start" is musically more complicated, yet this does not take away quality. It is more poppy in a way, with screamy vocals in the back. You can imagine the band opening a show with this, before playing their more serious repertoire. I love the high notes in the end, which makes it more fun and playful.
