all by myself

Benoît Pioulard is a multidisciplinary artist, commonly know for his music. I once fell in love with a polaroid of a boy throwing rocks at the sea from the beach. A while ago I stumbled across the same picture and found out that Pioulard is the maker. The focus of his work is on music, I would say, although I am not sure. He seems to be one of those people who strive to be the best in everything and want to do everything perfect. That is probably why they want to design their own album covers and direct their own videos. The result of all this is stunning and makes you want to have more perfectionists in the world we live in. His new album is out on October 11.

We all know Heartthrob as a complex minimalist and with elaborate songs with few lyrics and lovely beats. His latest work is not an exemption. Whenever I want to describe him, I think of epic runways in Paris with the latest creations by some weird, modern designer. I'm sure even Anna Wintour would crack a smile. 'Setting up' is the title track, however I don't feel this song sets the mood for the rest of it. 'Diaghilev' and 'In my room' are among my favorites, but the build-up to 'Your body' is far more beautiful and easy to enjoy.
