Let me give you a couple of songs I've been listening to over the past few days.
Recently I was searching for some innovative videos and I came across the video to this song. I mean what is not to love about it: the woman, the song, the images. She is one sassy lady and she grabs you right from the beginning. I have this thing about "singing-screaming" women, as I also have a very big soft spot for Joanna Newsom, but Jenny Wilson is one standing her own ground. The photograph above resembles a young Jenny, at least I like to believe that.

Our new house is almost complete with the right furniture in its place and all quirky memorabilias finding their own little spot. I am as proud as a peacock for demolishing a ceiling light into a sort of lamp you can either put on the ground or on a table, etc. The LP player does not quite seem to have find its right place, but its function is to boost some nice records and that is what it does best. It is not really an object you like to see in your view, at least not my record player as it is a big black cube with not many beautiful things about it. When looking through my records I always tend to stop at Brenda Lee. She was so rock, so country, so emotional. It feels like she is singing it just for you.
Brenda Lee // Emotions
When you are not feeling in the mood for drum 'n' bass, but still you like to hear some busy tunes and you are rather emotional, that's when I like to listen this kind of music, you ought to give Tame Impala a listen. There this sort of heavy Efterklang, a mild Holy Fuck, a better composed Late Of The Pier. It's one of those bands where you can't help to think how they will perform in a live setting, but for the moment just enjoy and unwind to some lovely Australian music.
