The proper way to end a year, is of course to make a list and examine where everybody has been listed. My list contains of 20 albums, all came out in the year 2007 and compilation disks are excluded.20. Múm - Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy
Starting off with some experimental tunes all the way out of Iceland. I have read many reviews saying that on stage they don't achieve their promises on cd. But I enjoyed the album anyhow.
19. Shinichi Osawa - The One
Electronic high-performer Shinichi on his best. From club bangers to lovely easy-listening tunes. Collaborates with some of the best in the business.
Shinichi Osawa - Maximum joy18. Cinematic Orchestra - Ma Fleur
In one word: amazing. They give you a taste of the nicest instruments and form into one big pile of all good and nice things.
Cinematic Orchestra - Familiar ground
17. Simian Mobile Disco - Attack Decay Sustain Release
If there is one album with almost only tracks to dance to and go crazy I would have to pick this one. Every single one on them is fun and suitable for the dance floor.16. !!! - Myth Takes
Punk rock pleasure to the bone! Maybe this deserved to be in a higher position but I had much diffuculties in finding a good spot for every album, so they ended up here. Doesn't mean it's bad. Because all the songs are so energetic and even eclectic, in my opinion.
15. Matthew Dear - Asa Breed
This man truly is a cameleon. He makes music in so many ways, styles and forms. Even live he can really accomplish his greatness. Always a pleasure to listen.
Matthew Dear - Pom pom14. Apparat - Walls
The thing I like about Apparat, is that it can cause emotion. It has a certain feel to it and he is not afraid to make you feel it. It's even entertaining, all these strange noises you wanna give a place and when you can't manage to do so, he is already bringing out a new melody.
13. Yelle - Pop-Up
If you are feeling gay/happy/energetic/etc. this is the album for you. Yelle brings you funny melodies with a nice voice - sometimes in rap form sometimes just singing it to you. Although you do get the feeling like she is singing about stupid crap, it doesn't really matter. Just (try to) sing along and make weird dances in front of the mirror.12. The Noisettes - What's The Time Mr. Wolf?
A rock band which is fun to hear and even good for dancing. Not very regular, if you ask me. But the formula works. Especially the lyrics are cherished by me. (Also good if you need an outlet for your energy.)
11. The Go! Team - Proof Of Youth
A mix of music's finest. Find your way to the dance floor and break a leg on this lovely cd. I find it weird that this band isn't a big thing. It appeals to so many people by using a lot of genres. Make sure to check it out, if you haven't heard it yet.
The Go! Team - The wrath of Marcie
