Most people find it beautiful or amazing how people have achieved a golden wedding anniversary or even a one year anniversary. Isn't it logical to celebrate these days rather sooner than late? Not so long ago, and now still in some deserted countries, people meet; have a kiss and get married (sometimes this is the evolvement of a love child, but still). Why wait ten, twenty years before meeting the love of your life. Maybe you weren't trying hard enough with that one guy, so what he had smelly feet? That's life. Maybe that one girl swept you of your feet and dived into the bushes with another. How's that? You weren't watching her enough.
