Pukk Le Pop!

Only one more week and then it's time for some serious parties & good concerts! People across the whole of Europe will pack their bags and camping gear and travel to Hasselt-Kiewit to gather with fellow music lovers.

In this post I will give some attention to a few bands/artists I really love and definitely am going to see.

First off is the Go! Team. Never saw them perform live so I'm very curious how that will be.
Their new single is called 'Doing it right'. Also posted an old remix by SMD of the lovely track 'Ladyflash'.

A band from down south called Architecture In Helsinki will be getting a lot of love from the Pukkelpop audience, I'm sure! Even though they are scheduled at the same time as Tiga and Basement Jaxx. This band has got to be a lot of fun, there's no other way. Their latest single is called 'Debbie' and will come out somewhere in September, I guess. Also featured is a mix of Bonde Do Role (who will also play at Pukkelpop).

The Cribs is a band I've discovered just recently. They have much power and are being mixed by CSS and others. CSS will also play, but they don't have much music coming out I figure. Don't know if I will be there since they play at the same time as MSTRKRFT. Those two guys are doing a lot of remixes and also working on their second album. In the meantime they comfort us with lovely remixes by the likes of Justice, D.I.M., Goose & The Gossip. To name a few ;)

And last but not least..M.I.A.! I've been wanting to see her since 2005 but I never could make it to one of her shows. She hangs out a lot in the US and Japan or something..after the lovely 'Boyz' single she will come out with a smashing club banger (in my opinion) called 'Jimmy'. The song is very cheerful and some people will think it's a bit too much or not at all M.I.A.-ish but still it's a good song and very good for a dance.

For now this is it, because I could never post music from all the artists that are coming. Maybe I'll get back to you with another Pukkelpop-post before the festival starts. You'll just have to wait and see.
